The Area
Edward "Geek" Walker started the Dino way back when he still rode a bike and not a JEEP. 2010ish.
Leave the egos and attitudes at the door, this is just for fun. We do not care how good of rider you are, or how fast you go. This is for old and new friends to enjoy a ride in NW Colorado, Utah and Wyoming NO STREET BIKES as this is 95% dirt and some of it will you will need some clearance. I will have some alternate routes up, for a Pro Leisure Route in Mark's honor! But those will still be loads of dirt. You need to be self sufficient, able to fix your bike. We will camp out two nights, three if you count my pasture. Northwest Colorado is one of the most remote places in Colorado, you can ride for a hundred miles and not see anybody. It is the land of Butch Cassidy and Tom Horn. As well as the Ute and ancient Fremont. If you slow down you will see wild horses, deer, elk, and desert bighorns. Maybe even a rattlesnake or two. Fort Davy Crocket is just off the track, and some of us think Forest Fenns Treasure is not far from "Where Warm Waters Halt" --Cold Springs Mountain. Alternate Routes will be going up here. Pro Leisure, bail outs etc soon |
